Pete called and said he was hanging out with Jurassic 5, they formed a new band with him and a Bass player...it's a free-style band called Skill District...they have three songs already and are gonna make a record...it sounded pretty cool to me, should be dope to hear Pete with a trip hip-hop/rap/heavy/psy style kickin...

Mike: Hi this is Mike from Perry Farrell.Net. I’m backstage in Pittsburgh at Mr. Smalls with Perry Farrell, legendary singer from Psi-Com, Jane’s Addiction, Porno For Pyros, and now his latest project Satellite Party. Perry has agreed to answer a few of the members of our websites questions. We’ll start off with one from zdilla. He wants to know how much you love Peter DiStefano?
Perry: (laughing) OK, well my love for Pete DiStefano goes so deep. It’s about as deep as a man can love another man without blushing. I don’t get to see Pete that often but when we are together on the same coast we try to get into the water and do a surf trip together. Whether it’s down by Venice which he still claims he’s from Venice even though he lives far away. He’s an honorary member of the Venice crew and he’s always welcome. When he comes down and records with Harry Gregson-Williams who also recorded with me. He did the string arrangements for the new Satellite Party record. Pete records with him a lot for Harry Gregson-Williams movie / film scores. I’m always looking forward to seeing Pete. If not we stay in touch. We text message each other. He plays a lot with Hybrid and so he gets to do festivals with them. Working with electronic producers in a live scenario and I miss him terribly. We just got to play together at Lollapalooza and it was… it’s always a high when we get together. Usually it’s at lollapalooza so it only ends up being once a year recently. He’s like my Brother; I’ll always remember him as my dearest, dearest friend.
Mike: Awesome! I have some very warm feelings for him as well. Actually I’m supposed to pass along to you some sentiments from him to you. I spoke with him yesterday and he wanted me to tell you hello and let you know he loves you.
